Destination Stratford is pleased to announce an exciting partnership with the Stratford Country Club to align with Lights On Stratford Winter Festival of Lights 2025/2026. Glow & Throw is back for another season – an interactive community and visitor activity that will take place over multiple evenings and weekends in conjunction with Lights On Stratford. This unique indoor winter experience merges Stratford’s passion for the creative arts, culture and sport. The Stratford Country Club curling facility will be transformed into a magical glow in the dark space.

Glow & Throw will introduce individuals and families to the fun of curling, while engaging local and regional curling enthusiasts. Glow & Throw is the perfect family friendly activity, date night or gathering with friends this winter season (helmets/head protection is required for those under age 16 and encouraged for all participants).

Throughout Lights On Stratford visitors and our local community will be able to join us for glow curling sessions. Family glow curling sessions will be during the day on Saturdays and Sundays, while date night & friend group glow curling sessions are available on Fridays starting at 5pm.

Scheduling

Glow & Throw is made up of 14 sessions and a Glow & Throw bonspiel event. Family sessions will be on Saturday’s from 2- 4pm and Sunday’s from 4- 6pm Evening sessions will take place on Friday’s from 5 – 6pm. The evening sessions are encouraged for adult guests to join us, be it a date night or a night out with friends.

We will also have the three Ultimate Sessions which offer three separate hours of Glow & Throw Curling:

Saturday December 20 session times: 2-3pm, 3-4pm & 4-5pm
Saturday December 21 session times: 2-3pm, 3-4pm & 4-5pm
Friday January 2 session times: 5-6pm, 6-7pm & 7-8pm

1.What should I bring with me to participate in Glow & Throw

• All participants are required to bring clean indoor shoes.
• Participants under the age of 16 are required to hear helmets while on the ice. (Bike, hockey, ski helmets)
• Those over the age of 16  including adults are encourage to wear.
• To get the full glow effect, neon and white colours are encouraged.

2.What is included

All participants will be able to use curling brooms, delivery sticks,  grippers and sliders
