Since 1913
The Stratford Country Club presents a challenging, mature 18-hole golf course that lies along the Avon River and provides just the right amount of challenge for golfers of all abilities! Our roots trace our beginnings back to 1896 when William Maynard began golfing in the open fields north of the Avon River. Nine holes opened in the spring of 1914, six of which remain in play today. An additional nine holes were added in 1970, designed by Canadian legend Al Balding.
Given the course’s age, there are mature trees covering the landscape. Its riverside location guarantees water on a few holes and there are strategically placed bunkers throughout. There is also the occasional multi-tiered green to watch out for. Stratford Country Club is visually intimidating, and it does offer some challenges, but it is actually quite accessible for most skill levels.
